Allen Dale's client was charged with aggravated assault for biting off an appendage of the victim and faced 10 years of incarceration. Dale persuaded the government to lower the offense and convinced the judge that  some weekends in jail would be sufficient to meet all the goals of sentencing, allowing the client to continue to work and attend university.
